David Wicks came to Saint Mary's in September 1996 after completing his MBA and PhD at the Schulich School of Business in Toronto. In his time at Saint Mary's he has been the Chairperson of the Department of Management (2000-2003), Dean of the Sobey School of Business (2005-2011) and has received the Award of Teaching Excellence by the MBA Student Society (2003) and the Full-Time Professor of the Year Award at the Saint Mary's University Commerce Society (2002). David has presented his work on gender, culture and institutions at numerous national and international conferences and has published his work in Organization Studies, Culture & Organization, Gender, Work & Organization, the Canadian Review of Sociology and Anthropology.
